PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS

There are at least 12 different kinds of promotional videos.

We have been making corporate videos since 2001, and there has been a huge development and transformation of styles over the years. These days we are big fans of Marcus Sheridan’s They Ask You Answer philosophy of video marketing for businesses, which outlines five types of promotional videos. We’ve added a few more. We we like making for promo videos for businesses. Why? Because they help boost your revenue, and get more bang for your marketing buck. Videos can answer potential clients’ key questions and improve the chance of converting them into customers. Quite simply, videos work.

There are at least 12 different kinds of promo videos. Here are some of them: Tentpole (your main 'About Us’ video), Meet the Team, Social Media Videos, TV Commercials, Client Testimonials, FAQ Videos, User-Generated Content, Educational Content, Live Stream Webinars, Online Courses, Pitch Videos, and Fundraiser Videos.

TENTPOLE PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS

These are the ones that show more about your business or organisation so that other people know..

SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTS (VERTICAL FORMAT) FOR INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE & TIKTOK

These are examples of promotional video content that is specifically designed to use for paid advertising - Instagram ads, Facebook ads, Youtube ads, LinkedIn ads and Tiktok ads. These are filmed in a vertical format to fit Instagram and Facebook Reels, Youtube Shorts, and the TikTok format

INTERVIEWS - MEET THE TEAM

This is where you might introduce team or staff members. In these samples. These were for a recent charity fundraising campaign where various team members were interviewed as part of the fundraising campaign.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

We think these are really important! These are some client testimonials from patients of a great osteopath who has clinics in the prestigious Highgate and Harley Street areas in London, England.

SOCIAL MEDIA REELS

It’s important to use the reels feature as part of your social media strategy, especially so that it shows up in people’s feeds. In addition to more highly-produced video content, there are effective ways to use static photo images in an animated way.

CHARITY FUNDRAISER & GALA HONOREE VIDEOS

Charity Fundraisers have become a regular feature of everyday life as more charities need our help. A short, effective promotional video is a powerful way to engage people through telling heartfelt stories that will speak to human emotions, share stories about how the charitable organisation is effective, and encourage people to donate to the cause. Here are a short and long version of a recent campaign, along with a Gala Honoree video we produced for a fundraising gala.

QUICK VIDEO FOR DIGITAL ADVERTS - FACEBOOK ADS, GOOGLE ADS, INSTAGRAM, LINKEDIN, TIKTOK & MORE

Sometimes you will need a fast advert to use as part of a digital marketing campaign, and it will typically be between 15-30 seconds long. These should be upbeat and get to the point very quickly, since people’s attention span can be very short so that they will click through to your page or become more aware of your product/service.

SHORT TELEVISION COMMERCIALS

Despite the majority of smaller businesses and organisations focusing on sharing video content through online videos and digital advertising campaigns, sometimes you will want to go the old-school traditional route and book a television commercial. There are lower-cost ways to do this, and here are a couple of adverts we created to be shown on a local television channel.

PROPERTY SALES & RENTAL VIDEOS

Well-produced videos are a great way to help sell or rent your property. Many real estate agents take quick videos on their phone, and many high-end properties have great videos, but there is an in-between stage where you can have access to a great promotional video that will showcase your property, without having to pay an extravagant price.

MORE ABOUT THE 12 KINDS OF PROMO VIDEOS

So…what are these 12 different kinds of promo videos, and why do you need cost-effective promotional video for your company? Read on!

TENTPOLE / MAIN / ‘ABOUT US’ VIDEOS

This is your lead promotional video which tells the story of your company or organisation. Typically it may be 3-5 minutes long, and it’s important to keep make the key points within the 30 seconds so that people get your message (short attention spans!). One great bonus about filming tentpole videos is that we usually generate lots of extra footage that can be used for other videos.

FAQ VIDEOS

We like these videos because they serve some very important functions. Since we are in a visual world and people reading less, they can now watch a video to get answers to their questions. It also establishes your authority. Finally it is a good way to pre-qualify customers before they see you, since in the majority of cases they will decide whether they want to hire you before your first meeting. This saves everyone’s time!

EDUCATIONAL CONTENT MARKETING

Another important aspect of content marketing is establishing you as an authority within your field. A great way to do this is to generate content where you share information and teach about your subject matter. Why just be a business owner when you can be a trusted guide and teacher? These videos allow you to give leading-edge advice, and form a key part of your lead funnel campaigns.

PITCH VIDEOS

Competition is fierce, so why not get the advantage? One way of pitching is by creating a prime video to pitch. Doesn’t even have to be that expensive - we have learned a ton of shortcuts and experience over the years, and we’ll share our knowledge to help you grow your business and win that pitch.

SOCIAL MEDIA PROMO VIDEOS & TV SPOTS

15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 60 seconds. Optimised for Youtube Ads, Facebook ads, edited in different formats - landscape, portrait, square. Prepared for different kinds of displays - standard display, stories and more. Sounds complicated? It is. But that’s our job. We make it easy for you. You hire us so you don’t have to do it. As the famous button says, “That was easy!”.

MEET THE TEAM VIDEOS

We all know that it can be harder than ever to get face-to-face meetings with prospects, but ‘Meet the Team’ videos are a great way for people to meet you before they have actually met you. By all means keep a written biography on your staff webpage, but what better way to introduce your team than through some concise, beautifully-filmed videos which shows the human side of your company and provides a great pre-sales pitch?

LIVE STREAM WEBINARS

Another way to create confidence in the mind of a client is to leverage your knowledge through live webinars. These can be repurposed on your site as individual content videos, as a paid course, or as an “evergreen” webinar that people sign up to through a digital marketing campaign. We help clients set up webinars to promote your business and continue bringing in leads who have a higher chance of becoming customers.

FUNDRAISING VIDEOS

Many of us have had to sit through long, boring fundraiser videos at gala dinners and other events. Let’s make them interesting. We did some fun ones…

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

USER-GENERATED CONTENT

This is for companies who sell products and it provides “third-party validation” which is very important in today’s marketplace. Many websites sing the praises of their own company or product, but few things are better from a customer’s perspective than authentic reviews. We film your customers talking about how they have enjoyed your great product. User-generated content is an under-used technique, but you can use it to win!

ONLINE COURSES

Your industry knowledge can be leveraged for more income, and we help clients create online courses that can be integrated in learning platforms like Kajabi. Part of our backstory includes teaching hundreds of adult education projects, we love to sharing knowledge in a way that will enhance other people’s lives. You can use this expertise for your benefit. There are great ways to generate additional revenue, so let’s use them!

A CERTAIN KIND OF PITCH VIDEO (THIS ONE IS FREE)

This is #12, the final kind of pitch video for businesses, and we’ll show you how to do it for free. There’s an industry secret about leveraging LinkedIn for your business so that you can make an immediate connection and stand out from the crowd. Are you sick of all of those cold-pitch LinkedIn messages from people you’ve never heard of? They haven’t heard of this video technique…but it’ll be a little gift from us to you.

It sounds great, but what does it cost?

Great question. A typical old-school answer might have been “it depends” or “let’s set up a meeting, and have a conversation”, but wouldn’t it be nice to know up front? Whilst we can’t give a 100% specific answer until getting to know your business and your needs - largely because we won’t see you something if you don’t need it, and will not encourage you to spend more than is absolutely essential - here is a general ballpark:

£1250-$5000 range: This range gets you a small-business starter package that includes basic elements to get you up and running or update your existing marketing materials (eg a longer tentpole promotional video, some customer testimonial videos, and a couple of short videos for your social media), or it can be an a la carte menu. We recommend this for startups and smaller businesses (up to $1.5 million turnover). We keep the costs down on this by including a one or two person filming crew, and often shot using Smartphone Studio technology, and basic lighting packages.

£5000-$10,000 range: This is recommended for larger businesses ($2 million + turnover). This will typically be higher-end corporate videos for longer established companies who have the budget to invest. The production values will be higher, the filming crew may be larger (two cameras, sound and lighting people), and you will have more material at the end. On this budget can also set up a specially-designed studio set, spend more time filming, and integrate a branded design to your work.
